Modul: Future of Global Economics (5 ECTS)
The world is at a turning point, undergoing a fundamental transition fueled by political conflicts, economic disruptions, and technological innovations. As global economies shift, national interests are increasingly taking precedence over transnational dependencies. The rise of deglobalization has seen nations strategically move back toward local production and value chains to protect their economies. For organisations, such developments bring both opportunities and risks. Strategic adaptation and agility will be crucial to either benefit from new markets and technologies or face the threat of stagnated growth due to geopolitical tensions. The US economy is a key player in global trade and heavily involved in international imports and exports. Germany faces significant uncertainty considering the global instability of various markets. Simultaneously, the USA continues to shape the global economy through extensive policies. Whether such nations can reposition themselves as economic strongholds depends on the actions of their companies and policymakers.
Participants will be involved in active learning teaching techniques and small group and class discussions.
Volkswirtschaftliches Wissen vertiefen (6 ECTS)
Zusätzlich zum Programm kannst du optional und zeitlich unabhängig das virtuelle Modul „Projekt: VWL“ absolvieren. Beide Module ergänzen sich thematisch ideal. Im „Projekt: VWL“ entwickelst du eine Präsentation zu einer aktuellen wirtschaftlichen Fragestellung. Du recherchierst dazu in Fachliteratur, formulierst eine Forschungsfrage und leitest daraus praxisnahe Handlungsempfehlungen ab.
