Dr. Lucy McCarthy

Dr. Lucy McCarthy forscht an der Queens University Belfast. Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen in den Themen nachhaltige Lieferketten, sozialer Nachhaltigkeit, KMUs, Kultur und ländliche Entwicklung. Ihre bisherigen Forschungen konzentrieren sich darauf, die Rolle und den Einfluss von Hilfsinterventionen halbstaatlicher Organisationen auf die wirtschaftliche und soziale Nachhaltigkeit ländlicher Gemeinden in Irland zu untersuchen. Zudem hat Frau McCarthy den Ausgleich zwischen Umwelt- und Sozialaspekten bei Nachhaltigkeitspraktiken von Lieferketten untersucht. Aktuell erforscht sie die Auswirkungen der Informationstransparenz von Lieferketten. Ein zentrales Element ihrer Untersuchungen ist dabei die Rolle von NGOs. Ihre Veröffentlichungen findet man in anerkannten internationalen Zeitschriften.
